All four Blaine County high school track & field teams were represented on the podium at the Elite North/East Top 10 meet

The North/East Top 10 Track and field meet held last Tuesday in Glasgow features some of the top talent the region has to offer amongst the Class A, B and C ranks.
Local schools were well represented with ten athletes taking part in the meet.
Chinook had six competitors and an alternate while the Wildcats sent two and Turner and Hays/Lodge Pole one each.
Chinook sophomore Abby Ellison took part in her staple event, the triple jump and faired very well earning a second place finish with a hop, skip and jump that covered 32'9.5".
Freshman Kourtney Hanson continued to excel in the 1600 meter run, knocking ten full seconds off her personal best time to finish second in 5:52.16.
Senior Sprinter Kailey Kleinjan covered the 100 meter dash in :13.22 to finish fourth in a very tight race.
The Sugarbeeters 4x100 meter relay team of Kleinjan, Ellison, freshman Megan Molyneaux and junior Rochell Chaffin ran a great race, earning a third place finish with a time of:52.67.
The relay teams time eclipsed the automatic state qualifying bench mark guaranteeing them a spot at the State C in Missoula.
The Thunderbirds Isaiah RunsAbove has impressed in the 3200 meter run all season long. In Glasgow RunsAbove covered the eight laps in10:25.11 to finish third.
Turner sophomore Eddie Harmon has had a fine season on the track and turned in time of 2:02.76 in the 800 meter run to finish second. Harmon's time is nearly four seconds better than the next in the Northern C.
Harlem junior Damon Adams has been dominate all season long in the sprints and was again over the past week.
Adams ran a fast lap of :52.08 to finish second at the Top Ten and the followed that effort up with four first place finishes in Glasgow on Friday to help the Harlem boys finish second at the Gene Nelson Memorial track and Field meet.
Adams swept the 100 meter (:12.04), 200 meter (:23.97) and 400 meter (:53.10) races and the added a leap of 18'4.5" in the long jump to win that event as well.
Caleb Grant and Eron Snow scored points for the Wildcats in the distance races with Grant third and Snow fourth in the 1600 meter run. In the 3200 meter run it was Grant fourth and Snow fifth.
Junior Tyus Hammett collected the top prize in the high jump clearing 5'11" on the day. Hammett also performed very well in the hurdle races as he finished the 110 meter hurdles in :17.29 to finish second and was third in the 300 meter hurdles (:47.48).
The Wildcats 4x100 meter relay team collected a second place finish following a lap time of :47.52.
Teven Messerly rounded out the Wildcats scoring as he finished fourth in the triple jump with a leap of 34'0".
