We've Got The County Covered
We have a lot of work going on our building right now as our roof is being resealed. Hopefully they will be done soon. It isn’t affecting our activities or “Meals on Wheels” program though. Everything is still the same here at the center.
Today, May 18 is the last movie activity until the end of summer. “Dreamer” is being shown in the library meeting room at 1 p.m. Popcorn and drinks are served.
Thursday, we have our senior exercise class at 10:30 a.m. and Bingo is at 1 p.m. Our caller, Ray Reid, should be back this week after taking the week off for his “90th” birthday party. Our winner last week was Irene Gauthier again.
On Friday, May 13, the Kitchen Band plays at 11 a.m. and Pinochle is played afterwards.
The Hearing Clinic will be next Monday starting at 10 a.m.
Shanghai Rummy is played every Tuesday afternoon. Last week’s winner was Leatrice Faber.
We play a lot of Pinochle here at the center and are always looking for new players. If you are interested in joining, give us a call. We can teach you the game or if you already know how to play, we can give you game times. Winners of the Pinochle Card Party Marathon for the year were: High- Judy Chapman and Cassie Morgan; Low- Mike Randall and Amy Belle Smith. Winners of the May 1 Pinochle Card Party were High- Virginia Olson and Low- Francis Ewing. Lawrence Siemens and Cassie Morgan had a double pinochle and Judy Chapman and Frances Ewing had 1,000 aces. Winners of the Pinochle Card Party on May 8 were High – Lawrence Siemens and Low- Cassie Morgan.
