We've Got The County Covered
Need a little change of scenery? Have a case of itchy feet? Looking for a way to escape from the “last best place?” Or, need a temporary escape to another part of the “last best place?” The Sweet Medical Center will have several escape solutions covered in its upcoming fundraiser—Sweet Escape 2016. Details of the fundraiser are not being made public until next week.
News leaks suggest the year-long fun event has a serious purpose. Funds raised are committed to purchasing an emergency power generator for the clinic. Sweet Medical’s CEO, Dana Pyette, wrote, “When the power is out, there is a large impact on our ability to provide adequate patient care.” She added that the facility carries an inventory of perishable immunizations, allergy serums and other health care products that must be refrigerated or frozen. A loss of power could seriously affect the supplies of these health care essentials.
Purchasing a needed generator is the old journalistic “why,” but the “how” is still not widely available and the specific workings of the campaign are only being shared on a “need to know basis.” Some stealthy reporter tactics did discover that this fundraiser is not a one shot deal, but will happen every month of the year. And there’ll be a big kickoff at the Blaine County Fair. “The rest of the story,” as Paul Harvey used to say, is still a big mystery
Fundraising officials assured the “Journal” that the ‘big reveal’ would be covered in the news within the next week. Watch for details.
