Gregory Stevens Russell

Harlem, MT

Gregory Stevens Russell passed away May 22 in Miles City. Born Jan 13, 1957 to Wallace (Bud) & Bonnie Russell of Harlem, Greg worked hard as a long haul truck driver, in road construction, & as a loyal employee of Prince Inc. in Forsyth for 18 years.

Greg never knew a stranger, doted on children, & spent hours with “old timers” in any community. He was generous to a fault. He had many interests: fishing, cooking for others, & playing pool. He was a member of the Bullhook Bottoms Black Powder Club. He created masterful miniature frontier cabins. Most of all, he loved family gatherings, his nieces & nephews, his dogs, & good times.

Surviving is mother Bonnie, Harlem; best friend Shirley Walthall, Miles City; brother Gary Russell, Harlem; sisters Peggy (Alan) Azure, Polson; Kathryn (Jerry) Schmitt; Yolonda (Kermit) Johnson, Harlem; Rogene Halver, Shelby; Shelley Russell, Billings; 13 nieces & nephews, 21 great-nieces & nephews.

Per his request, no services are scheduled. However, a reception in his honor will be on June 4th, 2 PM at the Rocky Mountain Retirement Center, Harlem. In lieu of flowers, please donate to an animal shelter in his memory
