6th Annual Blaine County Cruise well attended, draws 52 entries

The 6th Annual Blaine County Cruise turned out to be a huge success despite some inclement weather throughout the Friday-Saturday event.

A total of 52 entries took part in the cruise and challenge events Saturday. Registration took place Friday evening at the Blaine County Fairgrounds and again Saturday morning while breakfast was being served.

Cruisers then got a chance to visit, catchup and enjoy concessions provided by the Chinook chapter of the Future Farmers of America.

Both nights at the Cruise annually includes a movie projected on the back of the grandstands. Fridays movie was "Hooper".

Breakfast Saturday morning was provided by the Blaine County 4H Foundation. A total of seventy meals were served before the Cruisers headed out at approximately 10 a.m..

The first stop along the route was at the weigh station just west of Havre where contestants took part in the first of four challenges that would take place.

Lunch was had at The Mint Bar and Grill in Big Sandy, providing the group with a chance to relax, visit and enjoy the event.

Following lunch participants took part in the second challenge of the day. The 100 plus person caravan then headed to Rotary Pond located in Beaver Creek Park where photo's were taken and yet another challenge was completed.

The final stop of this years Cruise was at the Triple Dog Brewery in Havre where the final challenge of the day took place. Scorecards were then turned in with the winner being announced at a dinner later.

Cruisers enjoyed a meal served by Val's Catering service and beverage service provided by the Mint Bar.

Following the meal an award ceremony was held with various prizes being handed out including the $1,000 cash prize won by Scott Skoyen. Nate Skoyen was the winner of the Tool Box.

The Saturday night movie was "Need for Speed" concluding festivities of the 2016 Blaine County Cruise.
