KATHY "KAT" LOU BILGER

Kathy "Kat" Lou Bilger, 59, of Havre passed away peacefully at her daughter and son in law's Misty and Trinity Swenson's home in Chinook Mt, on July 3, 2016 from Peritoneal Cancer.

Memory Service and Pot Luck Gathering will be at 3:00 p.m., July 30th, 2016, 1 ½ miles East of Old Plainsman Bar off Hwy 2, in Chinook MT.

Kathy was born to Raymond "Dutch" and Ardis Gertrude (Kelsey) Gamble in Quietus Mt en route to hospital in family automobile. She lived in Sheridan Wyoming where she attended grade school, she received her GED.

Kathy was very well known for always having a project in her hand of embroidering something beautiful. She had the hardest time telling people NO and would always go the extra mile to help anyone in need. She loved people, all though she was very quiet for the most part, she could talk for hours. She enjoyed flowers, camping, fishing, dancing with her grandparents, family gatherings, cooking (Lasagna), and baking and road trips. One of her fondest memories was playing in grandma's yard.

On March 27, 1974, in Sheridan County in Wyoming she married Sidney L. Storm and from this marriage 3 children were born, later separating and eventually getting divorced.

Kathy was a Girl Scout leader for 8 years and enjoyed taking the girls to Canada to the waterslides, she enjoyed watching the girl scouts sell cookies and it was always, amazing how much more they sold each year.

She worked as a waitress at 4B's for many years and was introduced in 1993 to the love of her life Gerald "Jerry" Bilger Sr., who was the cook there as well. They fell in love and worked through everything together. On August 12, 2005 they joined in marriage and to this marriage Kathy welcomed 5 children into her life.

She went on to receive her certification to become a CNA. She worked in the Nursing home in Thermopolis Wyoming for many years, and later came to Havre and worked at the Care Center. After receiving the devastating news of cancer the bond grew stronger and Kathy and Jerry became each other's rock. She lost her loving husband on December 3, 2015 the same day she completed her last round of Chemo. On April 10, 2016, her husband's birthday, she found out it was back and fought her finally days being strong.

Kathy is survived by, sisters Bonnie McPherson, Julie Cox, brothers Donnie and Dale Gamble, brothers in law: Bill (Andie) Bilger, Jim Bilger and special friend Brenda Card, Bob (Sugar) Bilger; sister in law: Cindy (Russell) Rohrer; 3 biological children and 5 step children: Coral Storm and special friend Harlan Schmitt, Randi (Robert) Long, Thunder and special friend Taylor Matsko, Lynn (Bobby) Porter, Shane Whitish and special friend Michelle Richards, Tawnya Bilger and special friend John Gilead, Misty (Trinity) Swenson, JR Bilger Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; Best Friend: Brenda (Brett) Boren; Katie Miller (Pen Pal and Cousin).
