We've Got The County Covered
The Chinook Sugarbeeter football team ran into a Belt Husky Squad that was firing on all cylinders Friday night.
The Huskies scored 22 first quarter point and led 36-0 at halftime before securing a 48-0 won over Chinook.
The 'Beeters competed on every play and at times were effective but for the night the team never really got things rolling offensively or defensively..
"We had an off night and couldn't get anything going on either side of the ball," said head coach Scott Friede.
The 'Beeters would seem to make a good play and it would be negated, "We couldn't get any breaks and yards were tough to come by. We have to give Belt a lot of credit. They were very well prepared and played very well," added Friede.
The 'Beeters will have a chance to even their record this Friday when they will welcome the Fort Benton Longhorns to town, " We are looking forward to playing Fort Benton here on Friday night," concluded Friede.
Senior Tate Niederegger finished the contest with 13 carries for 24 yards. Senior Kade Friede led the team with 46 yards rushing on ten attempts.
Niederegger tallied six tackles on the night and senior Kyler Johnson added five of his own. Johnson also recorded an interception in the contest.
