Parishioners at St. Gabriele's Catholic Church in Chinook pose with Father Felix Nayak (light shirt under basketball net) on the pastor's last Sunday with the congregation. He will be moving to Malta and will have responsibilities with the churches at Fort Belknap. Father Felix said total personnel plans for priests at the local churches are not completed at the diocese level.
Father Felix Nayak who worked with three Blaine County parishes is being reassigned to St. Mary's church in Malta. He will still be ministering in Blaine County since part of his duties will include responsibilities at St. Paul's in Hays, St. Thomas in Lodge Pole and Sacred Heart at the Agency. Nayak is a native of Orissa, India and first came to north central Montana in June, 2012.
