Elizabeth Bauer passed away suddenly on Monday, September 12, 2016. Elizabeth is survived by her loving husband, Brian Bauer; her daughters and their husbands, Jennifer and Dale Wills; Jane and Aaron Warner; her stepson Dory Bauer; her grandchildren, Ryan Perfater, Sarah Warner and Sadie Wills; her brother Marc and Mike Scofield and their families.

Elizabeth Jane Bauer was born January 3, 1954 in Portland, Oregon to Frank and Jane Scofield. As her father was in the Air Force, she lived in Oregon, Missouri, California, Spain, Montana, and Texas before the age of 13. Though she lived in many places, she considered Montana to be her home. She used to say that, "Home is where your heart is," and her dearest childhood memories took place here in Montana, where she met the love of her life, Brian Bauer. After graduating with a Master's Degree from the University of Texas at San Antonio, she returned home to Montana to use her degree to help heal others with her license as both a National Certified Counselor and a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. She dedicated her life to helping others through serving in her church as a director of women's ministries, as a youth minister when her children were young and throughout her professional career, first as a Department of Health and Human Services case worker and then through her work counseling.

Services will be held at Chinook Alliance Church in Chinook, MT on Friday, September 16, 2016 at 2:00 p.m.
