Joseph "Big Joe" Thomas Has The Eagle, 29, a member of the Assiniboine Tribe, passed away unexpectedly in Seattle, Washington on September 14, 2016. Wake will be 7:00 P.M. Friday, September 23, 2016 at Chief Nosey Center. Funeral Mass will be 10:00 A.M. Saturday, September 24, 2016 also at Chief Nosey Center.

Joseph was born on June 3, 1987 to James "Jim" and Lind (Allen) Has The Eagle at the Northern Montana Hospital. Joseph worked as a seasonal firefighter and for the Hays Forestry. Joseph enjoyed hunting with his dad, listening to Rap music, being with his family and friends. He also enjoyed boxing and being in the mountains being a "Saw Dawg"

Big Joe is survived by his dad Jimmy "Jim" Has The Eagle Sr., Brothers Jimmy Jr. (Sunshine) Has The Eagle, Gary Has The Eagle, Clint Has The Eagle, Clay Has The Eagle; His Sisters Marlana (Chris) Has The Eagle, Molina (Michael) Has The Eagle.

Big Joe is preceded in death by his Grandpa William "Babe" Allen; His mother Linda (Allen) Has The Eagle; Uncles William "Bill" Allen, Matthew "Boots" Allen, Floyd "Bud" Allen; Cousins Jeremy " Boot" Allen, Howard "House" Gone Jr. and numerous other relatives.

Joey was a big man with a kind and generous heart. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
