The Hays/Lodge Pole Thunderbirds have been in some close football games this fall, competing very well.
Saturday the team traveled to Cascade for a Northern C clash with the once beaten Badgers.
In what was somewhat of a shootout it was Cascade that prevailed with a 62-28 win over Hays/Lodge Pole.
The loss will drop the Thunderbirds to 1-4 on the season.
The Thunderbirds and the Northern C are heading for the home stretch of the 2016 campaign with four games remaining on the schedule.
This Friday the Thunderbirds will travel to Belt to take on the undefeated Huskies.
