We've Got The County Covered
These are certainly strange times. This national election, which will be over by the time you are reading these words, is for both sides the worst I can ever remember in my life.
To make matters even worse, it is November 7 as I write these words and I can hear outside of my office window, someone actually mowing their lawn!
So, is it any reason that the Vikings have gone crazy in their first season in their new stadium?
Remember not long ago they were running four wins and no losses. Well, this last week the Chicago bears with their 2 wins and 6 losses beat Minnesota 20 to 10 on Monday night. That gives Minnesota two losses in a row and a 5 and 2 record.
There is no answer as to how this could have happened in my book. Unless it is that coach John Fox has finally got a handle on Chicago and is on his way for a winning season.
Did you see Peyton Manning at the County Music Awards this week? He is much better in venues like that than he ever was playing quarterback.
Just a thought. Anyway many have said that if you watched the first eight minutes of the award show, when many played the very old songs, that was some of the best television ever and Peyton Manning made it even better!
Has anything changed from hopefully Super Bowl bound teams since last week?
Probably not. It is still New England with their 7 and 1 record team that is the team to beat. In the American Conference after that it is Houston, Denver and Pittsburgh and better throw Oakland in that mix as well with their 6 and 2 record.
On the National side, it is always a little more murky. How about Dallas, Atlanta, Minnesota and Seattle. Maybe look for Atlanta to burst forth this year on that side although don’t discount Dallas. They seem to be doing much better without Tony Romo. Go figure!
As to Montana college teams, I am just sad and hope they will get better and soon right across the board.
While on that subject let’s see what Northern is going to do this week. Their last game is with the College of Idaho. Let’s just give that one to Northern being as it is the last one of the season. As to Rocky, they play Western for their last game. They lose.
Montana plays Northern Colorado and wins. Montana State plays UC Davis and wins and next week is their last game, the Bobcat/ Grizzly game which will be played at Bozeman this year.
In the mighty NFL on Thursday look for Baltimore to really give it to Cleveland.
On Sunday it is Kansas City over Carolina, Houston over Jacksonville and Denver over New Orleans.
It is the Rams over the Jets, Atlanta over Philadelphia and Tampa Bay over Chicago (yes, you heard it here first). It is Green Bay over Tennessee and Minnesota over Washington.
It is San Diego over Miami, Arizona over San Fran and Dallas over Pittsburgh.
Sunday night it is New England beating Seattle and Monday night it is Cincinnati over the New York Giants.
That’s my story and I am sticking to it. Go Thunderbirds!
