We've Got The County Covered
Now that the Volleyball season is complete with State champions being crowned this past weekend and the football season over for teams from the Northern B post season recognition is finding several local athletes.
The Chinook Sugarbeeter volleyball team completed a stellar season on the court finishing third at the Northern C Divisional. Senior Kelsey Mathon and junior Sierra Swank topped the list when the District 6C-East released its All-Conference teams. Mathon and Swank earned the recognition for the second time.
Also being recognized for their efforts were Sugarbeeter senior Taylor Neibauer and sophomore Kourtney Hanson both being named to the District 6C-East Second Team for the first time.
In football the District 2B released it’s All Conference and All-State teams last week and four Harlem Wildcats receive recognition.
Senior Lineman Reece Hutton concluded another outstanding season on the grid iron being named to the first team All-State offensive and defensive teams as well as the first team All-Conference offensive and defensive teams. Hutton was also named first team All-State, All-conference on both sides of the ball a season ago.
Also earning well deserved recognition for the Wildcats was senior Corbin Brockie. Brockie was selected to the second team on both offense and defense.
Senior Damon Adams concluded his football career by being named to the District 2B second team All-Conference on the defensive side of the ball.
Junior Tevin Messerly also had a fine season and was rewarded with a second team All-Conference defense selection.
