Community involvement was at the core of who Jack was. He served on numerous boards, including more than 25 years with Triangle Telephone.

Carla's children all have fond memories of spending time with their grandparents in Chinook. In order to be closer to their grandkids, Jack and Anna moved to Missoula in 2003.

Jack remained active well into his 80's. He enjoyed gardening, riding his bike to Perkins and being social with those in the neighborhood.

The last couple of years found Jack living with Steve and Carla and then moving into the Village as his dementia progressed. No matter where he lived, friendships were formed. Jack left a lasting legacy with anyone who knew him.
