We've Got The County Covered
We had a great turnout - 16 people in all - show up for the Public Card Party last Sunday. Dave Novak and Connie Stanley had a Double Pinochle. Mike Randall had high score and Marilyn Williamson had low score.
Our activities this week, include a beginner Whist class being taught by Lois Butcher at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 18. If you are interested in learning how to play or just need a refresher class, this is for you. It is open to all interested players.
The movie "Blue Valley Songbird" starring Dolly Parton is being shown Wednesday, afternoon at 1 p.m. in the library meeting room. Refreshments will be served.
There are no exercise classes this week, but we will have Bingo on Thursday afternoon. Last week, Francis Ewing was the blackout winner.
On Friday, Jan. 20, Art and I will be going to the North Central Area Agency on Aging meeting in Chester. We have room for more to go. If you are interested, see me.
This Friday, the Kitchen Band will be playing at 11 a.m. and Pinochle is played in the afternoon. Rochelle Wohlschlager and Myrla McCoy were the Pinochle winners last week.
Pat Fournier will be at the center on Tuesday, Jan. 24 from 10 a.m. to noon to check on all your hearing needs.
Shanghai Rummy is played every Tuesday afternoon. Last week, Elisabeth O'Brien won the cinnamon roll prize.
