Dale and Vonnie Klungland, of Harlem, check out the details of an upcoming motor coach tour to Colorado Springs. The tour is presented by the Chinook and Harlem Senior Centers. The trip runs September 3-9 and tour members will be picked up and returned to both the Harlem and Chinook Senior Centers. The trip is open to all adults and is geared to seniors.
Reporter's note: A few years ago my wife Sherry, and I, took a motor coach trip to the Grand Canyon when we lived in the Seattle area. The trip was organized through the local senior center. We knew none of the other passengers when the trip started but ended up with 30 new friends during the trip. After moving to Chinook we went on one of the adult DC trips led by Doug Hayes and also made new acquaintances and had a great time.
Some locals told me the Havre hospital used to do tours and the trips were well received. In fact, folks in Blaine County said the trips were often full before they go...
