We've Got The County Covered
The Blaine County 4H Teen Leader Club includes members from all of the local clubs. The group is preparing to host their Annual Valentine Day Dinner and Dance This Sunday, February 12th.
The event takes place at the Blaine County Fairgrounds in the Commercial Building. Dinner is being served from 4-6 p.m. with Spaghetti as the main course.
The dance will feature the music of the Plowed Under band and will go from 6-9 p.m. A silent auction will also take place during the event.
The money that is made from the dinner and dance goes toward leadership workshops and a travel trip.
"The Blaine County Teen Leader Club used to be in a travel club with other clubs from different states. But because of insurance and liability reasons, they have branched off and traveled on their own. This way, they can tour and plan their own trips," stated Shandel Fouts, the groups adult leader.
"The last trip the Teen Leader Club took was in 2012. This year they are going to Denver where they will be visiting museums, attending leadership workshops, and learning team building exercises and games for youth that they can bring back and teach at workshops that they put on for local 4-H members," added Fouts.
Community members interested in supporting the group and attending a fantastic dinner and dance can contact Teen Leaders for tickets. Teen Leaders are: Erika Anderson, Brooke Elliot, Kyler Johnson, Michael Warburton, Anne Reed, Kourtney Hanson, Ross Reed, Allyssa Gruszie and Raynee Hasler.
