Chinook Senior Center News

Well, the groundhog saw his shadow and we will have 6 more weeks of winter. We will try to stay busy here at the center so hopefully it goes by fast. We have a lot planned this month, let’s get started.

The movie this Wednesday in the library meeting room is “Murphy’s Romance” with Sally Field and James Garner. Popcorn and a drink will be served.

Senior exercise class with Carmen Van Voast will resume this Thursday morning at 10:30 a.m.

Bingo is played at 1 p.m. every Thursday. Last week’s jackpot winner was Irene Gauthier.

On Friday, the Kitchen Band will be playing and there will be pinochle after lunch. The highlight of last week was 12 people playing pinochle on Friday. They had a lot of fun. Myrla McCoy had the high score and Mike Randall had the low score. Don Durocher had a double pinochle. Next week, we are trying for 4 tables, so if you enjoy pinochle, show up at 1 p.m. to play.

Monday, Feb. 13 is the Board of Directors meeting at 1 p.m. It is open to the public.

Tuesday, Valentine’s Day, is our special lunch. Please make sure to sign up early, so the cook knows how much food to prepare.

Don’t forget Shanghai Rummy starts at 1 p.m. every Tuesday. Last week’s winner was Mike Randall.
