We've Got The County Covered
Be sure to stop into the library this week and help us celebrate National Library Week! We have a table with 2 foot by 6 foot poster for patrons to color on. We have door prizes to register for and we have surveys we would like to have filled out. Everyone who checks something out will receive a book bag and bookmark, both of which can be colored with markers.
“Sully” will be the movie at 1:00 p.m. today. On January 15, 2009, the world witnessed the “Miracle on the Hudson” when Captain “Sully” Sullenberger (Tom Hanks) glided his disabled plane onto the frigid waters of the Hudson River, saving the lives of all 155 aboard. However, even as Sully was being heralded by the public and the media for his unprecedented feat of aviation skill, an investigation was unfolding that threatened to destroy his reputation and his career. “When the Game Stands Tall” will be the movie next week. If anyone has a request for a movie, please let us know or tell Kristi at the Senior Center. Everyone is welcome to attend and refreshments will be served.
Story Time is Tuesday mornings at 10:30 a.m. Kids of all ages and abilities are welcome to attend. LEGO Club is Thursdays from 3:30 to 4:30 and is open to kids in grades K-6.
New movies ready for checkout this week are Moana and Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.
We have several books by authors our patrons love. “The Lost Order” by Steve Berry is a new Cotton Malone novel. “The Burial Hour” is a Lincoln Rhyme novel by Jeffery Deaver. “If I’m Found” by Terri Blackstock is book 2 in the “If I Run” series. If you are looking for a heartwarming and quick read, you may want to try “Two From the Heart” by James Patterson or “Miramar Bay” by Davis Bunn. “Murder on the Serpentine” by Anne Perry is a Charlotte and Thomas Pitt novel.
April 26th we have a program through the Montana Humanities that you won’t want to miss! Bill Rossiter will be here performing “Home, Home on the Ranch’ at 7:00 p.m. Everyone is welcome to join us and refreshments will be served.
There is always something going on at the library. Check us out on Facebook or look us up on our website at http:www.blainecountylibrary.org for up to date information about what’s going on!
