We've Got The County Covered
Plan to attend, "Home, Home on the Ranch: Farm and Ranch Life in Story and Song" by Bill Rossiter Wednesday April 26th at 7:00 p.m. After the settlers, pioneers, homesteaders and boomers finally put down roots, the long haul began. Carving a home out of the "wilderness" or out of the "Great American Desert" was tough enough, but sticking it out, year after year, added flint to the soul. Drought, fluctuating markets, grasshoppers, dust storms, taxes-and of course, the mortgage-all show up in the ranch and farm songbook. The program features songs accompanied by guitar, banjo, Autoharp and harmonica. Refreshments will be served and everyone is welcome to attend. This presentation is a Montana Conversations program brought to you through the Montana Humanities.
Thank you to everyone who stopped in last week to help us celebrate National Library Week! Over 225 people came into the library during the week. We had a lot of patrons fill out our survey, which will help us improve our services. We will leave our coloring station up for patrons to color on. Lucky winners of door prizes were Hayden Paulsen, Lilly Munari, Loma Miller and Carol Johnsrud. Congratulations, we hope you enjoy coloring!
"When the Game Stands Tall" will be the movie at 1:00 p.m. today. Inspired by the true story, Jim Caviezel plays high school football coach Bob Ladouceur during the season that changed everything. As coach of the Spartans Football Team, Bob always tells his players that winning doesn't matter. Yet somehow, with the aid of assistant coach Terry Eidson, he's led the team to a record-breaking 151 straight victories. When his wife Bev urges him to refocus on his family, Bob is blinded by the pressure to keep the streak alive. Now, in the midst of a season of crisis and tragedy when the Spartans stand to lose everything, a remarkable young player helps Bob rediscover that teamwork outshines personal glory. "Where Hope Grows" will be the movie next week. If anyone has a request for a movie, please let us know or tell Kristi at the Senior Center. Everyone is welcome to attend and refreshments will be served.
Story Time is Tuesday mornings at 10:30 a.m. Kids of all ages and abilities are welcome to attend. The final LEGO Club will be Thursday from 3:30 to 4:30 and is open to kids in grades K-6. LEGO Club will start again in June when our other summer programs begin.
