The Harlem Wildcat boys finished second at the Cut Bank Invitational
last Thursday crowning individual champions in the Field and on the
Track. The Chinook Sugarbeeter girls also continued their strong start
to the season finishing third.
The Sugarbeeter girls shined on the track and in the field at the Cut
Bank Invitational.
Sophomore Megan Molyneaux continued her domination in the
sprints with victories in the 100 Meter Dash (:12.28) and the 200 Meter
Dash (:27.10).
Molyneaux, sophomore Kourtney Hanson, junior Jaye Anderson
and senior Rochelle Chaffin completed the four hand-offs of the 4x100
Meter Relay in :52.74 to win the event by nearly a full second.
Chaffin recorded a second place finish in the 300 Meter Hurdles and
a third in the 200 Meter Dash. Hanson earned a third place finish in
the 1,600 Meter Run while Anderson and sophomore Lincy Johnson
scored points in the 400 Meter Run.
Senior Brooke Elliot finished second in the Shot Put and third in the
Javelin for the Sugarbeeters in the field. Sophomore Rachel Gunderson
also performed well in the throwing events finishing fifth in the Javelin.

The Wildcats scored 66 points in Cut Bank to finish eight points
ahead of the Havre Blue Ponies. The Chinook Sugarbeeter boys turned
in a solid effort with a fifth place finish.
Wildcat senior Reece Hutton has already qualified for the State B in
both the Shot Put and the Discus added a individual title in the Shot Put
in Cut Bank to his resume.
Hutton won the Shot Put with a mark of 47'6" while his flip of
104'9" was good for second place in the contest.
Harlem senior Tyus Hammett and freshman Taggert Devaney swept
the hurdle races for the Wildcats. Hammett was the winner of the 110
Meter Hurdles breaking the tape in :16.70. Devaney's effort of :43.10
in the 300 Meter Hurdle race was best in the field.
The Wildcats also received points from Isaac Smith in the 200
Meter Dash, sophomore Damian Schumacher in the High Jump and
freshman Darrius Kulbeck in the Javelin.
Chinook senior Kyler Johnson has had a stellar career in the distance
events for the Sugarbeeters and was in top form Thursday. Johnson
completed the four lap 1600 Meter run in 4:58. 05 to win the event and
also finished second in the 3,200 Meter Run.
Senior Wade Schneider finished third for the Sugarbeeters in the
Shot Put and the Discus. Sophomore Cord Schneider scored points in
the Discus and the High Jump and sophomore Trajan Hannum placed
in both the 400 and 800 Meter runs.
