Beverly June Cowan, 83, passed away to Heaven on June 12, 2017 at 9:05 a.m. due to natural causes. A Celebration of Life service will be held Sunday, June 25, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Seventh Day Adventist School, 4113 9th St. W in Havre. Memorials in Beverly's name may be made to the North Central Senior Center, 2 2nd St. W, Havre, Mt or to the donor's choice. Beverly was born in Chinook, MT on December 12, 1933 to the late Walter & Alvina Friede. She married Virgil Ray Cowan in 1951 in Chinook, MT. Beverly and Virgil had two sons: Gary Wayne and Richard Dean Cowan. In 1957, the family moved to Shelby and opened Cowan's Westside Husky for about 10 years before moving back to Havre. Beverly was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She loved to cook. She would always take a hot cooked meal to Virgil while he was at work on the railroad. She worked as a cook at a preschool for some time and just loved all the children, and also worked in housekeeping at the El Toro motel. Beverly was very social, spending a lot of time visiting with family and friends.
Beverly was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Virgil; her son Richard; and siblings: Ralph, Jack, Ernie, Jim, Sandy, Lola and Jeannie May Friede.
Beverly is survived by her son, Gary and his children: Tiffany, Gary Jr., and Bridgit Cowan; Richard's children, JD May and Stacy Cowan; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family and friends.
