We've Got The County Covered

Blaine County Library

The Wild Life will be the movie at 2:00 p.m. Monday July 17th. It is rated PG is 91 minutes long. LEGO Club will be Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. and Middle School Hangout will be Thursday at 2:00 p.m.

Anyone who has been in the library in the last month has probably noticed the green box by the front door and wondered what it is. It is a Worm Farm Composting Bin. Purchase of the Composting Bin was made possible by the generosity of Triangle Communications with a Community Vitality Grant. We will be making compost during the summer and then donating it to the Community Garden Project that the FFA built. Come on in and see what it is all about. A big shout out to Triangle Communications for their support of our project!

We have 3 non-fiction books ready to go this week. "Memory's Last Breath" by Gerda Saunders is a memoir by a woman living with the knowledge that her brain is betraying her. "You Don't Have to Say You Love Me" by Sherman Alexie is a searing, deeply moving memoir about family, love, loss and forgiveness. "Al Franken Giant of the Senate" by Al Franken is a book about an award winning comedian who decided to run for office and then discovered why award-winning comedians tend not to do that. New fiction this week includes "A game of Ghosts" by John Connolly, "The Couple Next Door" by Shari Lapena and "The Child" by Fiona Barton.

We have two new backroads of Montana DVDs this week. A Stone's Throw From Anywhere is episode 43. In it you will follow a curling team from Rudyard as they compete in a bonspiel in Havre; cheer for two Little Britches Rodeo stars-in-the-making from Worden; let the music of a Hot Springs flute maker calm your soul; and explore the subtleties of :the old fashioned country hello." William Marcus hosts the program from a square dance in Plains. Production of Backroads of Montana is made possible, in part, by a grant from the Greater Montana Foundation, the Big Sky Film Grant and the University of Montana. We also have a Backroads of Montana 25th Anniversary Special covering 1991 to 2016.

There is always something going on at the library. Check us out on Facebook or look us up on our website at http:www.blainecountylibrary.org for up to date information about what's going on!
