Chinook Senior Center

We had a very large turnout at the annual meeting Friday. Rochelle Wohlschlager and Kathy O’Brien were elected to serve on the board again. The center has a new mission statement, “To provide identified needs of older patrons.” We will be striving to meet this goal in the incoming year.

Thursday afternoon, we will have Bingo at 1 p.m. Last week, Gerry Lenhardt was the blackout winner.

On Friday, “The Kitchen Band” will be playing at 11 a.m. Come down for lunch and play cards afterwards. Last week’s winners were Mike Randall and Leatrice Faber.

Art, Don and I will be going to the area meeting in Chouteau on Friday morning to honor our “Senior of the Year.” If you are interested in joining us, please let one of us know.

Judy Chapman’s 80th Birthday Open House will be Saturday, July 22 at the center. Stop by to wish her a “Happy Birthday!”

Pool & Cribbage will be played on Monday, July 31. Last week, Mike Randall won.

We have a lot of thank yous this week. We really appreciate all the food donations from the VFW and their fair booth this week. Also, thank you to Mary Pyette and Marilyn Williamson for selling the puzzles and thinking of us for the proceeds.
