We've Got The County Covered
It is hard to believe it is already September and the days are starting to get cooler. The new calendars are out, so you can pick one up. We have added movies back into the fall schedule. They will be shown in the library meeting room every Wednesday starting on Sept. 6 with “Stand Your Ground.”
Last Friday, Mary Pyette, Joyce McSloy, Marilyn Williamson, Judy Chapman, Elisabeth O’Brien and I went to the Sweet Home to host the August birthday party. We enjoyed the residents, the cake and especially the music from our own Kitchen Band. Thank you to Roger Fischer, Sara Baird, Elaine Campbell and Brad Taylor for entertaining us!
We have a new flag out front, thanks to Ray Reid and the VFW. Stop by and see it!
The Foot Clinic will be Thursday, Aug. 31, due to the Labor Day weekend. The morning appointments are taken, but if you give us a call, we can fit you in the afternoon. The next Foot Clinic won’t be until October.
It’s time for Jackpot Bingo this Thursday with a $10 prize. Irene Gauthier was last week’s winner.
The Kitchen Band will play on Friday with Pinochle played in the afternoon. Last week’s winners were Mike Randal and Myrla McCoy.
The Senior Center will be closed on Monday, Sept. 4 for Labor Day. There will be no potluck or deliveries that day.
Shanghai Rummy is played every Tuesday afternoon at 1 p.m. Amy Belle Smith won the cinnamon roll last week.
Mary Novak donated the baked goods for the birthday raffle. The 50/50 winner was Frances Ewing.
Thank you to Tammy Edwards and Ruth Brown for the puzzles. Our seniors love putting them together! There is always something going on at the center. Stop in… the coffee is always on!
