This week the library is observing Banned Books Week. Celebrate your freedom to read by stopping at the library. Carly has put together a fun game "Guess the Banned Book" for both adults and children to play. We are also showing the movie "Footloose," a movie about fighting for your rights, Thursday, September 28, 6 P.M.
The library board of trustees meets today in the meeting room at 4:15 P.M.
Tonight Triangle Communications is presenting a free training "Basic Internet and Email" from 6:30-8:30 P.M. in the library meeting room.

"The Secrets She Keeps" is by Michael Robotham. This twisted page-turner connects two women: Agatha, pregnant with an absent boyfriend, who works stocking supermarket shelves and Megan, also pregnant, but who has a seemingly "perfect life." Their lives become dangerously entangled until their secrets are exposed by one shocking act that cannot be undone.
The latest Andy Carpenter mystery by David Rosenfelt is "Collared." Andy's passion is the Tara Foundation, a dog-rescue foundation. One morning an abandoned dog is left with a mysterious anonymous note. When the dog's chip is scanned, Andy realized this is the "DNA dog." An old case of kidnapping is reopened with the dog's appearance, a case that becomes more complicated and dangerous than Andy expected.
Jeff Abbott is the author of the thriller "Blame." Jane Norton crashes her car which kills her friend David. With amnesia, she receives everyone's sympathy until they find Jane's note: "I wish we were dead together."
"The Address" is a new novel by Fiona Davis. The Dakota, New York City's most famous residence, supplies the backdrop for the stories of two women, Sara and Bailey, a century apart.
Other new titles include "Ascension of Larks" by Rachel Linden, "Crime Scene" by Jonathan and Jesse Kellerman, and "The Truth About Trump" by Michael D'Antonio.
Carly will be at the Big Flat Grocery in Turner on Wed., Oct. 4, 10 A.M. for Books and Babies.
The library will be closed Oct. 9 in observance of Columbus Day. The annual membership meeting of the Friends of the Harlem Library will be Oct. 11, 6 P.M.
A free salad supper will be served. Dues of $10 may be paid at this meeting. Door prizes will be given away!
