Chinook Senior Center

Well, things are back to normal at the center after the big snow. This week we will celebrate Coyla Boe’s birthday as she turns 102! Please make sure to call ahead, if you are coming for lunch and cake this Friday. The Kitchen Band will play and there will be Pinochle after lunch. Our Pinochle winners last week were Rochelle Wohlschlager and Virginia Olson.

On Wednesday, the movie, “Smitty” will be shown in the library meeting room at 1 p.m. Refreshments are provided. Next week’s movie is “The Zookeeper’s Wife.”

Come join us for our Pie Social with the Board of Directors this Wednesday, Oct. 18 from 3 to 5 p.m. It will be a good time to visit and see all that is going on at the center. Come join us and have a wonderful slice of pie to eat.

We had 11 people play Bingo last Thursday with Don Durocher winning the Blackout prize. Let’s see how many show up this week!

The center will be closed on Monday, October 23 for the potluck at noon. There will be no deliveries that day. Myrla McCoy is the host for this activity.

Shanghai Rummy will be played at 1 p.m. on Tuesday. Mike Randal was the cinnamon roll winner last week.

The next time Whist is played will be Wednesday, Oct. 25. We are trying for two tables so please come and join us if this is your game. Rochelle Wohlschlager and Mildred Dawson were the winners last week.

A heartfelt thank you to Sharon Moran, Lyla Kaldor and the Presbyterian Women for the donations this week to the center.
