We've Got The County Covered

Blaine County Library

In "Origin" by Dan Brown, Robert Langdon, Harvard professor of symbology and religious iconology, arrives at the ultramodern Guggenheim Museum Bilbao to attend a major announcement-the unveiling of a discovery that "will change the face of science forever." The evening's host is Edmond Kirsch, a forty-year-old billionaire and futurist whose dazzling high-tech inventions and audacious predictions have made him a renowned global figure. Kirsch, who was one of Langdon's first students at Harvard two decades earlier, is about to reveal an astonishing breakthrough . . . one that will answer two of the fundamental questions of human existence. We have this book available in regular print, large print and on audio. Other books ready this week are: "Lies She Told" by Cate Holohan, "Shattered" by Allison Brennan, "An Echo of Murder" by Anne Perry, "Wicked Deeds" by Heather Graham and "Keep Her Safe" by Sophie Hannah.

Stop in and checkout one of the books from the display table. Kelsey's display for October is Books that go Bump in the Night!

Wednesday movies are showing again! The Zoo Keeper's Wife will be the movie today at 1:00 p.m. in the library meeting room. It is rated PG-13 and running time is 2 hours and 6 minutes. Everyone is welcome to attend and refreshments will be served. The Redemption of Henry Myers will be November 1st. We will be showing the movies with closed captioning whenever possible. Hopefully this will encourage those who may have difficulties hearing the movies to attend.

Be sure to stop down at the commercial building on Friday between 7:00 and 11:00. The library will have a booth with a reading nook, STEM toys, a coloring table, treats and drawings. We will also have book bags and be giving away free books to go in those bags!
