Corey John Couturier was born on Jan. 29th 1962, in Chester, MT to John and Sandra Couturier.

Corey was very smart and was an exceptional student through out his high school years. He was a good athlete as well. He was on the swim team in his younger years and later on joined the track, football and basketball teams. He was also a very active member of the Better Livestock 4-H Club.

After high school he went to college in Moscow, Idaho, but never finished. He joined the local National Guard unit, and was an active member for many years.

Coreys passion in life was art and his relationship with Jesus. Early on in his life he was an exceptional artist. Everything from people to beautiful landscapes, and in the later years his love was modern, mostly religious art.

He suffered a stroke a couple of years ago and became paralyzed on his left side and had to live at the Sweet Memorial Nursing Home. He was quite active at the nursing home, and looked forward to all of their outings.

Corey passed away on Nov. 5th 2017 of kidney failure. He is survived by his sisters Camie Jorgensen, and Dominique Couturier. Niece Kimberly Stebar, and nephew Favion Couturier.

Corey really loved people of different cultures, and back grounds that makes us each individuals. He loved to visit with others and would talk to anyone always studying them and what he could learn from them. He will be missed by his family and by many members of our community. God Bless you Corey on your new journey.
