Ronald "Mac" McHenry

Long time Chinook resident Ronald "Mac" McHenry, 73, passed away November 23, 2017, at Sweet Nursing Home, Chinook, Montana.

A burial service will be held at Deep Creek Cemetery in Townsend, Montana at 10:00 a.m. on December 9, 2017 with an open house to follow.

Mac was born June 6, 1944 in Townsend, Montana, to William and Edna McHenry. He graduated from Broadwater County High School. He graduated from Colorado Mountain College, which included an internship at the Brownsville, Texas, zoo in veterinary technology.

During his life, he worked on a dairy farm, spent time as a logger, and worked as a vet tech for the USDA and later in private practice, and owned a lumberyard in Chinook. His true passion in life was wood working.

He is survived by his four children: Kristie (Gary) Webster, Brian (Kristin) McHenry, Katie (Neil) Christiansen and Jeffrey (Krystal) McHenry and grandchildren Ethan, Erik, Henry, Will, Abby, Freddy and Brady all of Iowa, brother, Wally, sister, Linda, and sister-in-law, Coy, and nieces and nephews. Mac was preceded in death by his parents, William and Edna, brothers, Ken and Jimmy, and stepson, Garrett.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be sent to Kristie Webster at 1124 8th St SE, Cedar Rapids, Iowa 52401.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Edwards Funeral Home in Chinook, Montana.
