The center is decorated for the holidays, so now we get to sit back and enjoy!

The movie “A Dog Named Christmas” will be shown this Wednesday in the library meeting room at 1 p.m. Popcorn and drinks will be provided.

Whist is played this Wednesday at 1 p.m.

The Strong People exercise class with Lauren Lamonica is Thursday, Dec. 14 at 10:30 a.m.

Bingo is played Thursday afternoons at 1 p.m. Last week there were 14 people playing and Irene Gauthier won the blackout prize.

The Kitchen Band will be playing at 11 a.m. this Friday. Pinochle is played in the afternoon.

Pool and cribbage is scheduled for Monday, Dec. 18 at 1 p.m.

We have a very special Cancer Support Group planned for Tuesday, Dec. 19. Several band and choir students from Chinook High School will be singing Christmas carols for us. It will start at 11 a.m. Be sure to call ahead if you are coming to this lunch, so the cook will have a headcount on this special day.

Shanghai Rummy is played every Tuesday afternoon. Elisabeth O’Brien was the winner last week.

The Public Card Party was Sunday,. High winners were Cassie Morgan and Marilyn Williamson. Low winner was Don Durocher. Ruth Brown and Virginia Olson had double pinochles.

Thank you to Lois Thorstad for the puzzles, the Methodist Church for the poinsettia and to Marilyn Williamson for the new TV. We are trying to raise money for a new stand to go with it!

Don’t forget to buy your meal ticket or get a gift certificate for a great Christmas present. Prices for meals are still $4 for 60 and older through December and then meals are going up to $5 starting Jan. 1.
