Tuesday in Chinook the 'Beeters turned the table in picking up a quality conference win.

Chinook junior Riley Kellam scored the first basket of the contest but the Bears would quickly answer with seven of their own to lead 7-2 just two minutes into the contest.

The Sugarbeeters responded with junior Isaac Bell scoring off a nice pass from sophomore Hunter Neibauer. Kellam then took a beautiful pass from Bell for two more points and junior Cord Schneider took the ball hard to the rim to give Chinook a 8-7 advantage.

Schneider knocked down both attempts from the charity stripe moments later for a 12-11 in a back and forth opening quarter.

The Sugarbeeters would take a 15-13 lead into the second quarter. Bell would score seven more in the second with a bomb from beyond the arc included and junior Trajan Hannum added four points while also drawing a pair of charges to keep the 'Beeter defense energized.

The Sugarbeeters began the third quarter with a slim 30-28 advantage but that would quickly change as the 'Beeters conditioning and relentless defensive pressure started to take its toll on the Bears.

Box Elder began the third quarter with four straight to lead 32-30 at the 5:12 mark but that would be their last lead.

Bell scored attacking the basket and Kellam converted from a free throw to give the 'Beeters back the lead 33-32.

Bell made a nice defensive effort securing the steal racing down the court and knocking down the trifecta to push the 'Beeter advantage to 17 at the 5:36 mark of the fourth quarter.

Moments later Bell knocked down a pair of free throw to push the lead to twenty but Bell wasn't done yet.

After a Box Elder basket Bell caught the ball just beyond the Bear defense, He spotted a clear lane to the basket and put the finishing touches on an impressive 'Beeter win with a dunk and just :36 remaining in the contest.

Chinook took a 70-51 win over the Bears to remain undefeated in District 9C play with a 4-0 record.

Schneider also recorded a double/double with 134 points and 10 rebounds to go along with four assists.
