Upon his return from the Army, Milton returned home to the Ranch while working numerous jobs and started his cattle and farming operation. As a hobby, he was a vicious header, riding, roping, and spending time with his family, even qualifying for the INFR in team roping. Scoot was a hardworking, loving, caring person who got the job done; always there to lend a hand, he couldn't bear to see anyone go without, even a stranger. Living every day to the fullest making everyone who he came across, smile by telling a joke or teasing around being the free spirit he was. Milton never held a grudge and always seen past their mistakes. He always made a stop to visit his crazy Aunt Berta and Uncle Dusty Roads to reminisce.

Scoot loved to hunt, fish, going for a cruise, checking on his cattle and spoiling his grandchildren with love, candy, and whatever they wanted. He always made sure his family was taken care of and never went without!
