We've Got The County Covered

Travelers from Hi-Line Senior Centers will visit Mount Rushmore and the Black Hills

(Senior Centers in Harlem and Chinook). A motor coach tour, originating from the senior centers in Harlem and Chinook, will be headed to Mt. Rushmore, the Crazy Horse monument and other attractions in the Black Hills area in early September. The tour, being presented by the Harlem and Chinook Senior Centers, is the second tour the two centers have collaborated on for guests along the Hi-Line. Last year's tour had 44 travelers who visited Colorado Springs.

The tour is a seven day, six-night trip beginning on Sunday, September 9. During the four-day stay tour members will make coach trips each day from their area lodging to: visit the Borglum Historical Center and view Mount Rushmore National Monument; tour the Wildlife Loop Road at Custer State Park; tour the High Plains Western Heritage Center and visit the restored western town of Deadwood. On the fourth day travelers will visit Crazy Horse Memorial, which will be the world's largest monument when completed. Each evening in the Black Hills includes dinner and special entertainment one evening.

Tour organizers are offering an opportunity for other adults (you don't have to be a senior) along the Hi-Line to join the trip. The basic price includes travel by tour bus, six nights lodging, six breakfasts and four dinners, admissions to the attractions and gratuities. The tour is organized by a national tour company that specializes in senior tours.

A limited number of spaces are still available. A small deposit. Due by May 1, will hold a place for the trip.
