EmmaD (D.D.) Priscilla Jones Raty

EmmaD (D.D.) Priscilla Jones Raty found her way to heaven on March 31, 2018.

D.D. was born on February 29, 1936 in Billings, Montana to Kenneth C. Jones, and Helen F. McHose. D.D. was well known for her commitment to family, her willingness to share her mind, and for her famous chili and pickles. She loved her church and community. She was very ay active in the 4-H program, gardening, genealogical society, and helped write the book "fire in the wind".

Her commitment to her family was unwavering. She was never afraid to tell you that you were getting fat, or going bald, but she would also be the first to tell you that she loved you.

She met her life partner "Buck" at a diner in Geraldine Montana. The story goes that Buck grabbed her hand and never let go. There is some debate between the two as to who grabbed whose hand first. They were married in June of 1953, and traveled about following Buck's construction work until January of 1963. This is when they moved to the 100 acre farm in Chinook. There they became deep rooted in the community and finished raising their family.

D.D. was preceded in death by her Father: Kenneth C. Jones, Mother: Helen F. McHose, Sister: Leona Jones Hobbs, Husband: Horace J (Buck) Raty, Sons: Shawn David Raty, Clifford Joseph (Joe) Raty, and Grandchildren: Kaylub Maetche, and April Hoag.
