Marlon was born May 5, 1955 in Havre, MT to Bernard and Janey Norheim of Chinook,MT. He grew up on the family farm located 20 miles southeast of Chinook. Due to complications which occurred during birth it was determined that Marlon had sustained damage to his hearing and would need special assistance to help him learn how to manage this loss. As a young boy Marlon attended classes at the University of Montana's Speech and Hearing Clinic where he was taught sign language and how to read lips. These skills he perfected as he grew. Marlon attended elementary and high school in Harlem, MT. He graduated from Harlem High School in 1974. He then attended the Vo-Tech Center in Billings where he studied diesel mechanics. He was not able to complete this training and returned to Chinook to help with the family farm.
Marlon loved animals and especially treasured the dogs who were his constant companions. He loved music and was known to have songs playing in the background his whole life. He enjoyed video games (and was very good at them), solving puzzles, fishing (when he had the time) and time with friends and family. In 2015 Marlon moved to Lavina, MT due to the passing of his mother and father so he could be closer to his sister Sherry. While there he enjoyed taking computer classes through the Lavina School Adult Education program.
Marlon is survived by his brother Monty Norheim (wife Debbie) of Missoula, MT and sister Sherry Norheim of Lavina, MT along with nieces Stephanie Schilling of Lander, WY and JoAnna Monaco (husband Mark) of Missoula, MT and nephews Chuck and Dustin Schilling of Sidney, MT and Steven Norheim of Missoula and including great nieces Madelyn Motherway of Lander, WY and Gianna and Gabriella Monaco of Missoula, MT and great nephew Nathan Motherway of Lander, WY..
