We've Got The County Covered
If you missed the first two meetings of our book club, Free People Reading Freely, there is still time to stop in and choose a book to read before the next meeting! We have multiple copies of the Top 10 Most Challenged or Banned Book in 2017. The next meeting will be Monday December 3rd at 7:00 p.m. in the library. Everyone is welcome to attend.
Plan to attend the 27th Annual Hassle-Free Christmas Program Tuesday December 4th at 7:00 p.m. As always, we will have demonstrations, refreshment, door prizes and a performance by the Ecumenical Echoes Bell Choir.
The movie today will be "The Post" at 1:00 p.m. in the library meeting room. The movie is rated PG-13 and it runs for one hour and 46 minutes. Everyone is welcome to attend, and refreshments will be served. "A Dog Named Christmas" will be the movie next Wednesday. If anyone has a request for a movie, just let us know and we will do our best to show it. You can also let Marlene at the Senior Center know what you'd like to see.
We will have a selection of Christmas books on the display table for the month of December, including several new fiction books and one non-fiction book. New fiction includes "Deck the Hounds" by David Rosenfeldt, "Alaskan Holiday" by Debbie Macomber, "The Christmas Sisters" by Sarah Morgan, "A Christmas by the Sea" by Melody Carlson, "The Noel Stranger" by Richard Paul Evans, and "The Christmas Star" by Donna Van Liere. "Christmas With Southern Living" is always a big hit and the 2018 edition is no exception.
Story Time is Tuesday mornings at 10:30 a.m. Kids of all ages and abilities are welcome to attend. Middle School Hangout, for kids in grades 6-8 is held on Tuesday afternoons from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. LEGO Club is Thursday afternoons from 3:30-4:30 p.m. and is open to kids in grades K-6.
