Sugarbeeter boys basketball to hold Black-Orange-White Scrimmage Saturday morning, public is welcome to watch

The Chinook Sugarbeeter boys basketball team will be holding a Black - Orange - White Scrimmage this Saturday at 10 a.m. in the Floyd Bowen Gymnasium.

The ‘Beeters have 17 kids out this year and Head Coach Mike Seymour invites the public to come catch a early glimpse of the style of play they plan to take to the court when they begin their season in Chester, December 7.

At press time the format of the scrimmage is still being decided. If the team is able to secure Officials then they will play eight minute quarters the same as they would during the season. If officials are unable to be secured then the scrimmage will feature 10 minute running clock quarters.

To begin the varsity will take the court and play five on five. The second half will have the seven remaining junior varsity play five on five with three varsity players filling out the remaining spots on the court. The length of the scrimmage is yet to be determined.

Following the scrimmage there will be a mandatory parents meeting.
