Chinook Senior Center

Happy New Year. Welcome 2019. I always have trouble making that change from the old year to the new year. Sometimes I get it so mixed up I even revert back to the 1900s. The Food Bank board will be meeting here on January 8th. The Public card party will be January 13. The Senior Center Board of Directors will meet on January 14 at 1 p.m. in the center. Genealogy and Cancer Support will meet on January 15.

Last week activity winners are as follows:

Bingo: Not played

Shanghai Rummy: Not played

Our activities start at 1 p.m. and include Pinochle on Monday, Shanghai Rummy on Tuesday, Scrabble/board games, Whist or other cards, or movie on Wednesday afternoons, Bingo on Thursday, and cards on Friday. The Kitchen Band plays on Fridays. We have exercise equipment available to use for those 18 years and older. If you want to set up a pool game, the poor old pool table could use some attention. Also there is always a jigsaw puzzle being pieced together and all help is welcome. Anyone is welcome to join us.

Also, our assistant cook, Lila Steffensmier, has decided to retire from cooking. She will be here until January 31, so we will be looking for an assistant cook. Please stop by the office to pick up an application.
