New books are always arriving at the library. Here are some titles for you to enjoy.
“Remind Me Again What Happened” is by Joanna Luloff. Claire is suffering from severe memory loss caused by a rare disease she caught while in India. She depends on her husband, Charlie, and her best friend, Rachel, to help her piece together the fragments of her life. But as the pieces come together so do the secrets - not just hers, but Charlie’s and Rachel’s as well.
A new Dave Robicheaux novel from James Lee Burke is “The New Iberia Blues.” The ritual murder of a young woman drives detective Robicheaux into an investigation that has him in the crosshairs of the Mob, following escaped convict Hugo Tillinger, and haunted by Robicheaux’s own ghosts.
“Fly Girls” by Keith O’Brien is the true story of five women who defied all odds and made aviation history.
Eugenia Kim has written “The Kinship of Secrets.” In 1948 Najin and Calvin Cho leave Korea with their young daughter, Miran, and travel to America seeking a better life. With the unknown facing them they leave their youngest daughter, Inja, behind with family. But when the Korean War breaks out, there is no opportunity for the family to be reunited.
Miran grows up in prosperous suburbia while Inja struggles in her war-torn land. Are the bonds of love strong enough to reconnect their family?
“Once Upon a River” is by author Diane Setterfield. On a dark winter’s night the door on an ancient inn bursts open. A seriously wounded stranger enters carrying the body of small child. But hours later the girl takes a breath and comes back to life, although she is mute. The residents try to solve the puzzle of who she is, where she comes from, and to whom does she belong?
Other new titles include “Moondust Lake” by Davis Bunn, “Under the Midnight Sun,” the third in The Heart of Alaska series by Tracie Peterson, and “The Story of Arthur Truly” by Elizabeth Berg.
