Founded in 1949, the Montana Seed Show will celebrate its Platinum Jubilee this March 14 – 16 at Harlem High School, located at 610 First Avenue South East in Harlem, Montana. The three-day celebration is packed with exhibits and events to attract attendance and to commemorate this 70-year milestone of the only surviving seed show in Montana.
The Seed Show will kick off on Thursday at 9:00 a.m. as entry day for most exhibits and will close with the Banquet and Auction on Saturday with a prime rib and shrimp dinner at 7:00 p.m. in the Harlem High School Gymnasium.
The banquet’s entertainment this year will not be a speaker, a country musician, or a comedian as in years past. According to Seed Show Chairman, Paul Rasmussen, the Seed Show Planning Committee wanted to find an entertainer that would span the seven decades that Harlem has been hosting the Seed Show, and they came up with Party Rock Project.
“Although their name is somewhat misleading or off-putting to some, Party Rock Project plays a mix of epic rock, pop, and intimate piano bar music. The three members of the group who will be coming will also provide laugh-out-loud comedy, as well as interactive audience participation,” Rasmussen said.
Specializing in corporate entertainment, Party Rock Project has traveled around the country performing their hit show and treating audiences to a wide variety of music, including songs made famous by the Beatles, Beach Boys, Bee Gees, Coldplay, Johnny Cash, Kelly Clarkson, and Michael Jackson. But Party Rock Project is so much more than a band, according to their promotional materials. They’re an entertainment act that combines blockbuster pop and rock music, comedy, competitive/friendly audience participation, and multimedia visual projections, all to create a high-energy, interactive, family-friendly show. The Seed Show will culminate with what event planners hope is a memorable experience, singing and laughing with Party Rock Project.
Event planners encourage those who wish to attend to purchase their tickets early. Dinner and show tickets are available in advance at the Clothing Company, located at 201 Main Street South in Harlem. Interested persons can also call (406) 353-4524 or 379-2592 for more information.
Moore’s Printing of Malta printed the seed show premium books, which are available in multiple locations across the county, including at the Clothing Company in Harlem and at the Blaine County Extension Office located in the Courthouse Annex at 400 Ohio Street in Chinook.
