A good time for all at the District 9C Senior Classic

The District 9C Senior Classic was held once again in Rudyard this past Thursday. Originally a gathering of the just the districts seniors, it has become an event to include players from all four classes while remaining focused on celebrating their seniors. Chinook seniors Kourtney Hanson and Ashley MacLeod were on hand as were seniors Trajan Hannum, Cord Schneider and Isaac Bell as well as junior Hunter Neibauer. Hays/Lodge was represented by seniors Latasha Kirkaldie, Kyle Young Jr., James Brockie, Desmond Shambo, Kenneth Blackcrow Jr. and junior Muleeah Stiffarm. Turner was represented by seniors Raegan Conlan, Rylee Conlan, Kurt Calvert, Cody Welsh, Tracer Heilig, junior Sarah Billmayer and sophomore Shyan Krass. In the girls game the White team beat the Dark team 73-59. Billmayer scored 22 points to lead the White, Raegan Conlan added 17, Krass 10 and Stiffarm 6. For the Dark it was Hanson with 7, Kirkaldie with 4 and Rylee Conlan with 3. In the boys game it was White defeating the Dark team 90-82. Welsh scored 15, Schneider 14, Young 11 and Calvert 5 in the win. The Dark was led by Bell's 19 points, Brockie added 7, Neibauer 6, Shambo 6 and Blackcrow Jr. 5. The girls MVP was Raegan Conlan and Kourtney Hanson while the boys MVP went to Isaac Bell and Cody Welsh. Schneider won the boys three-point contest for the second year in a row, Kyle Young Jr. finished was runner up. Leah Gannon of Fort Benton won the girls contest, the girls runner up was Latasha Kirkaldie.
