New books this week include "A Lethal Legacy" by Heather Graham. Finn Douglas has big plans for the island off the coast of New York he has inherited. Brianna Labuskes is author of "Girls of Glass." Detective Alice Garner is charged with investigating the disappearance of the granddaughter of a powerful Florida judge. However, the situation brings back painful memories of the kidnapping and murder of her own child.

A perfect summer read is "The Summer Cottage" by Viola Shipman. Adie Lou Kruger is determined to not let her husband's affair, looming middle age and a career she doesn't love turn her into a cliché. Two great selections for summer family activities are "Nature Play at Home: Creating Outdoor Spaces That Connect Children with the Natural World" by Nancy Striniste and "Camping Activity Book for Families" by Linda Parker Hamilton.
