We've Got The County Covered

Farmers finally able to put up some hay

How incredibly green it is! Can you believe it is July 17 and things look like this. This is certainly an uncommon sight for those of us who have lived here for many years. June was wonderful for moisture with some storms bringing rain nearly every day. There were a few that brought several inches at a time and thankfully there were very few that included hail. In early June some farmers had began their first cutting but wet fields prevented them from getting the hay put up, now in mid-July there is plenty of hay in the county bailed and the outlook for a good harvest is promising.
