We've Got The County Covered
It's been a while since we have thanked patrons for donations. A big shout out to the following people who have donated to the library: Kylie & Tyler Kropf, Edith Bilger, Ann Davies, Travis Simpson, Mary Pyette, Julie Klingaman, Millie Hall, Donna Murdy, Patricia Hofeldt, Krita Drugge, Wilma Mellville, Gary & Millie Smith, Colleen Overcast, Amber Brinkman and Nancy Boyce. Thank you for your generous support of the library.
Since 1987, Library Card Sign-up Month has been held each September to mark the beginning of the school year. During the month, the American Library Association and libraries unite in a national effort to ensure every child signs-up for their own library card. Throughout the school year, public librarians and library staff will assist parents and caregivers with saving hundreds of dollars on educational resources and services for students. From free access to STEAM programs/activities, educational apps, in-person and virtual homework help, technology workshops to the expertise of librarians, a library card is one of the most cost effective back to school supplies available.
The book display for September is full of banned books. Be a rebel and check one out today!
Free People Reading Freely Book Club will meet Monday September 23rd at 7:00 p.m.
The library will have activities for kids from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 during the Sugarbeet Festival on Saturday September 14th. We will also be having a book sale during that time.
There is always something going on at the library. Check us out on Facebook or look us up on our website at http:www.blainecountylibrary.org for up to date information about what's going on!
