Doris Jean Billmayer Egbert

Doris Jean Billmayer Egbert passed away on October 20, 2019 shortly after being diagnosed with brain cancer.

She was born on October 4, 1933, in Hogeland, MT, to Roy and Mable Billmayer, the youngest of their five children. She grew up on the Big Flat and married Art Egbert in November 1950. They farmed together in the Turner area for over 40 years. She was involved with many organizations including the American Legion Auxiliary, the O.D.O Club, and Card Club, among others.

In the early 90s, Art and Doris relocated to Big Timber where they lived the rest of her lives. While in Big Timber, Doris was active in the Red Hat Society for many years and really enjoyed playing cards at the Senior Citizen's Center.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Art Egbert, a son-in-law, Lee Wiggins, two brothers John Billmayer and Frank Billmayer, granddaughter, Emily Fuglevand and great- grandson, Christian Loftsgaard.

She is survived by her four children, Connie Wiggins, Laura (Jeff) Cowell, Sid (Karen) Egbert, and Sandy (Les) Fuglevand, 14 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, and one great-great grandson.

Doris was a very fun loving, energetic, person. She had a contagious laugh, a great sense of humor and loved life. She gave great advice and was always up for a good time. She loved her garden, flowers, and butterflies. She could sew without patterns and designed many outfits for her children and grandchildren. She loved to get dressed up, put on fancy jewelry and go out with friends and family.

A Celebration of Life was held at the Big Flat American Legion Hall on November 2nd.
