We've Got The County Covered

Chinook's November Red Cross Blood Drive collects 35 Pints

The Chinook community hosted the American Red Cross Blood Drive on Tuesday November 5, 2019. There were 39 individuals that showed up to donate with 4 deferrals making our total number of pints donated 35 on a goal of 41. We appreciate all who braved the weather to come out and donate. Our next blood drive will be on Tuesday, January 7, 2020 from 12:30-6:00 at Wallner Hall. You can go online at http://www.redcrossblood.org to schedule your appointment early.

Jim Warburton and Ede Breitmeier reached their 4 gallon mark with this blood drive. Great job!!

The canteen was hosted by St. Gabriels Catholic Church. As always, the goodies were enjoyed by all of our donors, volunteers and guests. We are all so happy to have had you participate in this very important aspect of the blood drive.

Pastor Jack Mattingly and the United Methodist Church once again provided the site for the drive at Wallner Hall. Set up for the drive was accomplished by Carla Jenewein and Judy Johnson. Clean up for this drive was made possible by Chrissy Downs and the Jump Youth Group.

Door Prizes were provided by North Central Montana Cattle Women and St. Gabriels Catholic Church. Taking home door prices were Carol Warburton, Elmer Zarn, Sonia Swank, Connie Copenhaver, and Louise Nissen.

Others to be recognized for their willingness to contribute to the smooth running of the drive each time are the ladies at the welcome table: Linda Thompson, Judy Johnson and Patti Treftz. Paulette Keller delivered those beef gift certificates to me promptly before the drive.

To each and every one of you, my gratitude for your willingness to donate and to participate in one way or another is unending. I apologize in advance if I have forgotten anybody.

Sincerely Carla Jenewein, Red Cross Blood Drive Coordinator for Chinook.
