We've Got The County Covered

Harlem Senior Center

Third hat I wear is the Director for the Harlem Area Senior Citizen’s Center. I was hired by the board of the Senior Center. The Senior Center rents from Northern Montana Hospital the dining room area of the building. The dining room is where the Congregate Meals are held. The Dining room has been and can be rented out for a small fee. The use of the entire dining room and kitchen area rents out for $75.00. Use of the dining room or activity room is $10.00. Use of any electricity or the coffee machines is $25.00. Any tenant who lives in the apartments can use the activity room at no charge for family dinners or gatherings. The Director is responsible for hiring of employees such as the cook and janitor. The wages are paid under the Harlem Area Senior Citizens accounts. The Director is responsible for the menu’s, calendars, reading of the meters, payroll, reports, taxes, shoveling the sidewalks, cleaning if the janitor is not working, activities for the center, training of the staff, ordering the food and supplies used, mowing the lawn, checking in on the apartment people, inspections of the apartments, taken applications, cooking if need be, completion of the Ser Safe course and etc. . Until next time.

Heads Up!! The Harlem Senior Center will be having a booth at the Seed Show in March. We will once again raffle off homemade craft-type items that our own seniors have made... Dale Klungland is donating a bakers rack he has made. If, you have an item please let Connie know so we have a complete list of items.

Thank you to Bev Devaney, Janet Gruszie, Jerry and Kay Schmitt, Chuck Wasser, Rose Noel, Ann Azure and anyone I might have missed, for providing the Breakfast and Soup meals on Saturday and Sunday.
