We've Got The County Covered
We had some really nice weather for the weekend, just to wake up Monday morning to more snow. I really wish the weather would just pick something and stick with it. This up and down temperature is for the birds. Well no matter what it is doing outside, it is always nice and comfortably warm here at the center. So come on in and check us out, and if you have any suggestions for activities that you and others may like to do, please let me know about it.
On Tuesday, I taught Lois Butcher how to play Push (card game), she won both games we played. Way to go, Lois, but I want a rematch.
Thursday was Bingo and Virginia Olson won the blackout.
Friday the music starts at 10:00 a.m., last Friday we celebrated Doris Hofeldt’s 99th birthday with her family and friends. Doris was dancing and shaking a leg with her daughter Paulette while the band played on. On Friday afternoon Pinochle will be played at 1:00 p.m.
Our activities start at 1 p.m. Our activities include Pinochle on Monday, Shanghai Rummy on Tuesday, Scrabble, Whist or other cards on Wednesday afternoons, Bingo on Thursday, and Pinochle on Friday. Anyone is welcome to join us.
We have fresh baked cinnamon rolls every Thursday morning for $1 each. Please call by Tuesday if you want more than six.
Anyone and everyone of any age are welcome to join us at the center for lunch and activities. There are no age requirements. Please feel free to join us. It is recommended that if you are joining us for lunch that you give us a call by 10 a.m. for the cook to have the ability to prepare enough food. The suggested donation for lunch is $5 for age 60 and over and $6 for under the age of 60. Please call 357-2648 by 10 a.m. for home delivery. Also, if you are coming to join us for lunch a 10 o’clock call for a heads up is much appreciated.
