Curtis Lee Nez Perce

Curtis Lee Nez Perce, 62, passed away peacefully at Northern Montana Hospital in Havre on October 9, 2020. Curtis was born July 26, 1958, in Harlem at the Fort Belknap Indian Hospital, to Moses Nez Perce and Rose Mary (nee Walker) Nez Perce.

Curtis was a gentle and loving man with sparkling dark eyes and a face that lit up when he smiled. His gentle manner made him a pleasure and a wonderful man to be around and have a good cup of coffee with while visiting. Curtis treasured spending time with friends; loved horses; going for a ride or to a sporting event; playing cards; working on word search puzzles; having peanut butter sandwiches for a snack; and relished having a cheese burger and fries.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Eugene Bousquet. Curtis is survived by siblings Franklin Nez Perce; Raymond Nez Perce; Donald Bousquet; Katherine "Missy" Bousquet; Denise Scott; and Roland Scott; countless loving family members, and dear close friends that thought of him as their dearest brother. His keen "jokester" sense of humor, very affectionate nature, charming and loving personality were well expressed when he greeted those around him with his signature "peace sign" made with his long, gentle fingers. He was quite simply adored by all who knew him and were blessed to call him their friend.
